Farm-to-Fork Assessment of Exposure to AMR

This project is part of the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) – One Health Consortium, a pan-Alberta collaborative platform to tackle AMR through research, policy, training, outreach and commercialization. Alberta institutions include the Universities of Calgary, Alberta and Lethbridge, Athabasca University, Mount Royal University, the Lethbridge Research Center, Olds and Lakeland Colleges, and SAIT. Dr. Otto is a member of the Executive Committee and a Work Package Co-lead for the AMR – One Health Consortium. He leads this project, which uses risk modeling to understand human exposure to AMR through the food chain, with a focus on fluoroquinolone-resistant campylobacteriosis (a bacterial cause of foodborne illness).
